In the third and final round of the Anemone Horse Trucks Stallion Competition Dressage, Everest (by Especial) under Charlotte Fry secures the top position in the Z/ZZ-Licht combined class.

Five stallions competed in this section of the competition. Among them, the two-time Pavo Cup champion Nashville SW (Secret out of Esina elite IBOP-dres sport-dres pref PROK by Jazz, bred by Stal Willig from Abcoude) delivered an impressive performance under Femke de Laat. However, as part of the stallion selection process, Nashville SW was not judged.

Second victory
The KWPN-approved stallion Everest (Especial out of Fresia ster PROK by Negro), bred by Van Olst Horses, achieved the highest score of 88.6, including a 9.2 for his expressive trot and a 9 for overall impression. “Everest is highly responsive to aids and maintained excellent composure throughout the test,” explained judge Janine van Twist on behalf of the jury. “He’s a horse of exceptional quality, moving through the arena with rhythm and maintaining a steady, soft contact. His walk is solid, his trot is balanced, supple, and powerful, and his canter is rhythmic with expressive movement. We see a lot of promise for his future.” Everest previously won the stallion competition round in Ermelo.

Great expression
This is Naqueen (Trafalgar out of Aqueeni by Samba Hit, bred and owned by J.G.M. van de Meijden from Zuilichem), also competing at Z-level, followed closely in second place with Kim Noordijk. He scored 85.8 points, including three 8.7s. “This stallion also moves with great expression in trot and canter. He showed a strong working and extended walk, with cadence and power in trot and canter,” the jury remarked. In third place was the KWPN-approved stallion New Dreams (Jerveaux out of Jillz ster by Dream Boy, bred by Tim Coomans and Irene Verheul) under Adelinde Cornelissen. His harmonious performance earned him 85 points, including a 9 for his walk. “New Dreams has a spacious, supple walk, balanced and rhythmic trot, and a canter with good tempo and jump. He moves lightly and delivered an uncomplicated performance, though he could gain more strength in the canter,” the judges noted.
