Over the years, KWPN horses have achieved great success around the world. In Olympic Games, World Cup finals, and major Grand Prix competitions, Dutch horses often finish on top. These victories have resulted in the KWPN’s strong position in the rankings of the WBFSH (World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses).
WBFSH rankings are calculated annually from October 1 through September 30. During this period, horses can earn points per their performance in international FEI competitions as well as bonus points when competing in championships. Final rankings are then determined by totaling cumulative points for the year. The top six horses from each studbook determine the final standing of their respective studbooks in the FEI/WBFSH rankings.
