SC Gelder horse: Markant BK wins in Kronenberg
The stallion competition season commences in Kronenberg tonight. Two Gelder stallions participated in the M-class, it was Wilson-son Markant BK that won the first competition.
Under the guidance of Jean-René Luijmes, Markant BK obtained 76 points. Commentating judge Arie Hamoen praised the correct presentation of the Wilson-offspring (out of Wiezelma ster pref by Sirius, breeder L.W.M. van Kollenburg of Best): “A big and long-lined Gelder stallion that was presented with a very nice contact but could be slightly more uphill at times. The walk is pure but could show more overtrack. In the trot, he displays a lot of technique in his legs, but tends towards a wide base in the hindquarters. The canter is his best gait, Markant BK covers a lot of ground and keeps nice and straight in the extensions.”
74,2 points for Mexpression
Mexpression (Expression out of Colinda ster PROK by Koss, breeder H.A. Bruil of Terborg) was a tad intimidated by his surroundings, although he slowly dropped the tension. The tension lowered the score of Mexpression, whose highest mark was also granted to the canter. Riden by Dennis Ausma, the stallion received a 74,2 total.
