Pavo Cup
One of the highlights of the KWPN Championships is the battle of the young dressage talents for the Pavo Cup. Normally, the talents selected at the Central Inspections compete for a place in the final during the KWPN Championships in the semi-finals. The best 20 horses of the four and five year olds are selected for this. The six-year-olds final is open to the 12 highest placed horses in the semi-finals. The best three horses per age category will be ridden in the second round of the final and judged by a guest rider.
The evaluation of the natural qualities of a horse runs through these selections as a continuous thread. To obtain a start ticket for the semi-finals of the Pavo Cup, which takes place each year (exept 2020) during the KWPN Championships in Ermelo, a horse must have some extra features. His natural movement mechanism; walk, trot, canter, harmony and total impression as a dressage horse in that are evaluated critically.
The Pavo Cup semi-finals will be held at July 25th 2024 and the finals will be held at July 27th 2024. It is a unique opportunity to enjoy the young dresssage talents and is therefore definitely worth your visit!
