World champion Red Viper honored
World Champion Red Viper was honored this evening at the KWPN Stallion Show for his achievements over the past year. Last autumn, Red Viper was approved by the KWPN. Tonight, he was presented in ’s-Hertogenbosch under his new rider, Dinja van Liere. The stallion, owned by Reesink Stallions B.V., showcased his best qualities once again under Van Liere.
Last year, the large dark chestnut stallion, under Bart Veeze, won both the Pavo Cup and the world title at the 5-year-old dressage horse category. Red Viper, a son of Romanov, was bred by the Kerbert family out of the elite EPTM pref PROK sport-dressage mare Zolena (by Sir Sinclair), who herself competed at the World Championships for Young Horses with their daughter Annarein.
Positive words
During the KWPN Stallion Show, the stallion was the last to join the presentation of the stallions approved in 2024 and was subsequently honored. Bart Bax spoke highly of the stallion: "He stood out during the performance due to his suppleness, ability to change pace, and his posture. He is also a very rideable horse that always moves beautifully from behind to the front. He easily switches in the canter and returns smoothly to the hindquarters, always maintaining balance." The large stallion already demonstrated beautiful flying changes under Van Liere."
The breeders, the Kerbert family, the rider who led Red Viper to his World Championship title, and the owners, Reesink Horses, were all celebrated during the KWPN Stallion Show for the impressive performance of this remarkable stallion.
