Four stallions selected for the championship round
The high quality of this new generation of dressage stallions is evident, as the stallion selection committee has invited four stallions to the championship round.
Out of a total of 13 three-year-old dressage stallions presented on the first day of the second round viewing, four have been selected to return for the championship round tomorrow afternoon:
- Everglow Gold (Escolar x Weihe’s Hope by Sir Donnerhall I), bred by Christine Arns-Krogmann (Lohne), owned by Saskia Poel and Karel Gerrits (Heusden)
- Scott Nicolas (For Romance x Nanny McPhee elite IBOP-dres sport-dres PROK by Vitalis), bred by Judith Ribbels (Eibergen)
- So Unique STH (Vivino x L’Unique elite EPTM-dres sport-dres PROK by Boston STH), bred by Lens and Berna Nekeman (Hasselt)
- Simply the Best (Ferguson x Imagine elite EPTM-dres sport-dres D-OC by Dream Boy), bred by Anton and Anneke van Ballegooijen (Gameren) and co-registered with Trainingsstal Witte-Scholtens (Gorinchem)
Notably, these four stallions not only impressed with their conformation and movement, but they are also closely related to highly successful dressage horses. Everglow Gold is a grandson of the international Grand Prix mare Weihegold (ridden by Isabell Werth), while Scott Nicolas is a grandson of the international Grand Prix mare Funfun EB (Sorento). Additionally, the dams of So Unique STH (competing at Lichte Tour level) and Simply the Best (competing at national Grand Prix level) have performed successfully at high levels themselves.
The second round viewing of the dressage stallions will continue tomorrow at 8:00 AM. The championship round is scheduled to take place around 4:00 PM.
