New generation of jumper stallions impresses on course
One of the most eagerly anticipated classes is the presentation of the stallions approved last year. A strong group of stallions made a convincing impression.
Fourteen four-year-olds and one five-year-old jumper stallion performed under their own riders in Den Bosch, where they each jumped a small course twice. Stallion inspection committee members Eric van der Vleuten and Wout-Jan van der Schans provided commentary on the stallions.
Quality on all fronts
The class was filled with highlights. Several stallions showed clear progress since their performance test, while others lived up to the already high expectations. Among them, the striking Ruzgar VII S (Chacfly out of Julia Caesar III S, ster IBOP-spr sport-spr by Zambesi, bred/owned by Levent Dutkun from Gaanderen) delivered a remarkable performance under co-registrant Bart Bles. This light chestnut stallion excels in push-off, light-footedness, and athletic ability. Another standout was Rich and Royal (Mumbai van de Moerhoeve out of Cantate 47 by Crunch), bred by Roelof Bril and co-owned by Runningwell Sports Horses. Ridden by Kim Bril, he left no doubt about his talent, demonstrating effortless jumping, strong push-off, and a smooth jump arc. The Aganix du Seigneur son Rising Aranix (out of Lady D van ’t Roosakker sport-spr by Echo van ’t Spieveld, bred/owned by Rising Stud from Froombosch) also made a strong impression under Kristian Houwen. This genetically interesting stallion showed great consistency and excellent leg technique. Similarly, the highly athletic R.Elfhaban van Beek (Elfra van Beek Z out of Habanda van Beek PROK by Hos d’O) from breeder/owner ’t Eirbissenhof in Meer, and the powerful Zambesi son Royal Flush LF (out of Davita de L’Impermeable sport-spr by Nabab de Rêve, bred by Ana Preost) owned by Koen van de Beeten and Boy Peels, stood out. The presentation concluded with the promising five-year-old Pacorro TN (Grandorado TN out of Carisma by Caretino, bred by T. Blaauw from Ruinerwold), owned by Team Nijhof and Jos Lansink. Under co-owner Willem Greve, he showcased his tremendous potential.
