International show jumpers make their move in KWPN Select Sale
Four selected jumper stallions, including the champion selection stallion Seger V. (by O’Neill van ’t Eigenlo), were part of the sixteen-horse lineup at the KWPN Select Sale. This premium stallion also became the auction topper of the 2025 edition of the KWPN Select Sale, where several international top riders recognized and acquired young talent.
The O’Neill van ’t Eigenlo son, Seger V., was sold for €54,000 to a German buyer. O’Neill van ’t Eigenlo is currently competing at the highest level under the world’s number one rider, Henrik von Eckermann, under the name Minute Man.
In addition to well-known buyers, new clients also made their mark at the KWPN Select Sale, where bidding took place both online and live from the Brabanthallen. Frederik de Backer expertly led the auction. The KWPN Select Sale has long been a source of top jumper horses that go on to perform at the highest level, such as Island VG, Junior Kannan, and VDL Groep Zidane.
Former rider of KSS reference Junior Kannan, Richard Vogel, was among the buyers of one of the young stallions. The Rolex Grand Prix winner was not the only big name; Kylemore Stud, owned by the Broderick family, and Suus Kuyten also secured promising future talent.
This Saturday, the dressage stallions will go under the hammer at 16:30.
