Four premium jumper stallions have just returned for the championship round, powered by Knegt. The stallion Schnaps (by Mattias), bred by Hans de Roover, was crowned champion.

The championship round provided an exciting conclusion. Four large-framed, modern jumper horses from sport lines were presented, along with their breeders and registered owners.

Modern and Light-Footed
Schnaps (Mattias out of Dolaris ster IBOP-spr prest by Cantos), bred by Hans de Roover, and owned by Reinie Tewis and HBC Stal, turned out to be the most complete stallion. "We have awarded four stallions that have impressed with their conformation, pedigree, and jumping performance," said stallion inspection committee chairman Wout-Jan van der Schans. "The champion is a very modern jumping horse. His father stands out under Jur Vrieling, and this young, blooded stallion has impressed with his jumping both times. He jumps very consistently, is light-footed, and shows great overview."

The reserve champion title went to the very complete powerhouse Santiago (Eldorado van de Zeshoek out of Erina ster pref prest PROK by Kashmir van Schuttershof, bred by Henstra and Henstra from Drogeham) of the VDL Stud, which had two stallions in the running. This well-developed stallion had already shown exceptional jumping in Ermelo and once again demonstrated his high level of natural talent this morning.

Four Premium Stallions
Also awarded was the very striking and athletic Celtic VDL (Chatinue out of Sixtine de Vains by Calvaro Z), bred by the VDL Stud, which had shown very well in free jumping yesterday. Additionally, Seger V (son of O'Neill van 't Eigenlo, out of Indira PB ster IBOP-spr PROK by Air Jordan Z) was awarded. Bred by Henk Verburgt from Randwijk, this stallion showed great impression with his overview, power, and technique over the jump, and was later sold at the KWPN Select Sale for 54,000 euros.
