Showjumping fans are in for a treat on Thursday, January 30, during the KWPN Stallion Show. In addition to the stallion selection, the program includes thrilling sport classes and honorary ceremonies that no showjumping enthusiast will want to miss.

The day kicks off with the continuation of the stallion selection for jumper horses and features highlights such as the finals of the Blom Stallion Competition Jumping, the presentation of premium jumping stallions, including the championship inspection, and the KWPN Select Sale Jumping. In the evening, the second round viewing under saddle and the presentation of jumping stallions approved in 2024 will take place. Additionally, there will be ceremonies honoring the new predicate stallions for jumping and celebrating Imagine as Jumping Horse of the Year 2024. The evening concludes with the exhilarating VHO Trophy competition.

Blom Stallion Competition Jumping
The Blom Stallion Competition Jumping finals promise excitement across all levels. In the 1.10m class, 16 stallions will compete for the title. Eight of them currently hold a clean slate after three selection rounds, but even combinations with four penalty points still have a shot. In the 1.20m class, 15 KWPN-approved stallions have earned a spot in the finals. With wins in IJsselmuiden and Groningen, Ovinio (by Ipsthar), ridden by Bas Moerings, leads the pack, followed closely by Tattoo H&DB TN (by Parfait van het Schaek) and Fabiënne Lichtenvoort Cats, winners in Kronenberg.

For Pleasure son
In the 1.30m/1.35m class, New Pleasure VDL (by For Pleasure) currently tops the leaderboard. This stallion, under the guidance of Hessel Hoekstra, clinched victories in both IJsselmuiden and Groningen. Last year, the duo swept all three qualifiers and the final in the 1.20m class. Can they maintain their dominance in the 1.30m/1.35m finals this year, outperforming the 13 other finalists?

The championship inspection
This year, the championship inspection returns to the KWPN Stallion Show. Beyond the awarding of premiums, spectators can once again experience the thrilling atmosphere that accompanies this highly anticipated tradition. The premium stallions represent the very best of their generation, setting the tone for the future of breeding. The crowning of a champion stallion adds even more excitement and a dramatic conclusion to the selection process.

Presentation of the new generation of KWPN jumper stallions
The presentation of the new crop of KWPN stallions is one of the most engaging moments for breeders. How do these stallions perform under saddle, and how are they developing? Which of these stallions might you choose for your breeding program? During the presentation, 16 jumping stallions approved in 2024 will be showcased, offering a clear insight into these promising future stars.
