On Saturday, February 1, during the KWPN Stallion Show in Den Bosch, the spotlight will be on our Dutch harness horses, which are as popular as they are spectacular. Under the name 'Tribute to the Dutch Harness Horse,' these show horses will be showcased internationally. The Dutch harness horse has a global impact on the driving sport, with many international drivers using these horses to achieve medals.

In Den Bosch, two world-class harness horse ambassadors, Boyd Exell and Dries Degrieck, will take action. Exell, a multiple World Champion in combined driving, and Dries, an up-and-coming talent, will showcase their skills. Why are four-in-hand drivers so fond of harness horses? The qualities and talents of harness horses are highly sought after in international two- and four-in-hand driving, where they have proven to be exceptionally successful.

Spectacular performance
Boyd and Dries always incorporate harness horses into their four-in-hand teams and are very enthusiastic about them. Both will share their insights on which characteristics, temperament, conformation, and movement of harness horses are decisive for their success. They will then demonstrate their words with a thrilling performance with their four-in-hand teams.

Harness horse evening
On Saturday evening of the KWPN Stallion Show, harness horses and Gelder horses will take center stage. In addition to the stallion selection, the Oregon Trophy will be contested, and the Gelder stallions will compete in the stallion competition. The newest generation of stallions will also be presented, and the always enthusiastic harness horse audience will be treated to the beauty of the proud Dutch harness horse.

From January 29 to February 1 2025, the Brabanthallen in Den Bosch will transform into the highlight of Dutch sport and breeding during the KWPN Stallion Show. Alongside the stallion selection, enjoy a fantastic program featuring thrilling sport and show classes showcasing the best of the Dutch sport horse world.
