Stallion Show: Olympic Amazons Present Their New Aces
In 2028, the Olympic Games will take place in Los Angeles. The combinations competing for medals there might very well be showcased at the KWPN Stallion Show in Den Bosch. None other than Olympic riders Dinja van Liere and Emmelie Scholtens will present their new aces for the future: Imposantos and Kyton.
Just two months ago, it was announced that Emmelie Scholtens took over the reins of the KWPN-approved stallion Kyton (Ferguson out of Wilbria elite pref prest IBOP-dr by Ferro, bred by W.J.J. Goesten from Berkel Enschot). This powerhouse previously earned three gold medals at the KNHS Championships with Bart Veeze in the Z2, ZZ-Licht, and ZZ-Zwaar categories. Around the same time, the KWPN stallion Imposantos (Wynton out of Zarina elite IBOP-dres PROK by Krack C, bred by Willy Wijnen from Berlicum) moved to the stables of Dinja van Liere. This stallion also achieved numerous titles with Veeze, including twice Pavo Cup champion and Dutch champion in both ZZ-Zwaar and the Small Tour. These four-legged stars clearly have no shortage of potential!
Both riders have an impressive track record in training dressage talent to deliver harmonious performances on the international dressage stage. They shone last summer at the Olympic Games in Paris, where they narrowly missed a medal with the Dutch team. In Den Bosch, we will look ahead to the 2028 Games with Dinja and Emmelie. In an engaging clinic, they will share how they aim to realize the full potential of these two remarkable stallions. Don’t miss out! Be there on Saturday, February 1st, to witness this special performance.
