On the final regular day of the first round viewing powered by AJ Bedrijfsdiensten, the stallion selection committee selected 13 stallions, bringing the total to 82.

The offspring of young stallions took center stage on this last day of the first viewing in Ermelo. My Blue Hors Santiano made a strong impression with five sons selected, while four sons of his peer McLaren will appear at the KWPN Stallion Show. From the first crop of Next Romancier, two sons were selected.

Strong impression
“We certainly saw some complete stallions, but the quality today was somewhat variable. From My Blue Hors Santiano, we were able to select five sons, all of whom seem to have inherited ample refinement from their dam lines and made a good impression. It’s also promising that we could identify well-moving sons from other young stallions for Den Bosch,” said committee chairman Bart Bax. He expressed optimism about the collection of 82 stallions, which includes Pavo Cup winner Nashville SW—who still needs to participate in the stallion competition—heading to the KWPN Stallion Show. “We’ve been able to maintain our standards throughout all the days, and I’m confident that we’re heading to Den Bosch with a strong collection. Over the next month and a half, the stallions will have the chance to develop further, and we’re also expecting more stallions to come forward for the second round of inspections.” The second-round inspection is scheduled for December 23. “About twenty registered stallions have not yet appeared at the first round viewing. Not all of them will attend the second inspection, but certainly a fair number will. In addition, we expect several stallions from abroad to join.”
