Las Vegas and Emerald van 't Ruytershof top leaders first round viewing
From December 9 to 18, the first round viewing, powered by AJ Bedrijfsdiensten, will take place at the KWPN center. Las Vegas leads the rankings for dressage horses with an impressive 16 offspring, while in jumping, Emerald van 't Ruytershof tops the list with eight sons. The catalog for this first round viewing is now available online. A re-inspection for all breeding directions will take place on December 23.
A total of 392 stallions have been registered for the first round viewing, of which 228 dressage stallions, 159 jumper stallion and five Gelder stallions. From December 9 to 13, the dressage stallions will be presented. Leading sires include:
- Las Vegas (s.Ferdeaux): 16 offspring
- My Blue Hors Santiano (s.Sezuan): 14 offspring
- McLaren (s.Morricone): 9 offspring
Jumper stallions
Showjumping stallions will appear last, from December 16 to 18. Leading sires are:
- Emerald van 't Ruytershof (s. Diamant de Semilly): 8 offspring
- Ermitage Kalone (s. Catoki): 5 offspring
- Mr. Cornet de Regor (s. Cornet Obolensky): 5 offspring
Gelder stallions
The Gelder stallions will be presented on December 13. Each of the five horses has a different sire.
First round viewing
During the first round viewing, nearly three-year-old stallions are assessed by the stallion selection committee, consisting of three experts in sport and breeding. The best stallions will advance to the second round viewing, held during the KWPN Stallion Show 2025 from January 29 to February 1 in Den Bosch.

Prohibition on shaving tactile hairs and ears
It is not permitted to participate in stallion inspections or other KWPN events and competitions with horses whose tactile hairs around the mouth and eyes have been completely removed and/or whose inner ear hairs have been shaved. This will be monitored by the on-site supervisors. Excessively protruding hairs may be trimmed. For adult horses, it is allowed to shave the legs and trim or shave the tail. For stallion selection, stallions with completely removed tactile hairs around the mouth and eyes and/or shaved inner ear hairs will be excluded from stallion inspections and other KWPN events and competitions.
