This afternoon, under superb weather conditions, the final examination of the five stallions participating in the performance test took place at the Pavo track in Ermelo. The committee approved all five and described the group as an interesting selection of stallions.

Once again, a large crowd had gathered in Ermelo, as is always the case with stallion presentations. All five stallions were presented by training leader Demi van Nispen, and the proceedings ran smoothly. The horses looked in excellent condition, and Wim Versteeg began by expressing his gratitude and appreciation to the team that made this all possible. The entire final exam was livestreamed on KWPN TV, with English commentary provided by Viggon van Beest for international viewers.

Reconsidering a decision
The committee, comprising chairman Wim Versteeg, Thomas van der Weiden, Bauke de Boer, and harness horse inspector Viggon van Beest, approved five stallions today, including two that had been given a second chance. Among them was cat. no. 706, Rebel MJDB (Lanto HBC x Cizandro), whose participation had been discontinued at the interim exam. Versteeg explained that at the time, the committee did not feel confident in a positive outcome. However, registered owner Maarten Joris de Boer decided to continue the test at his own expense, resulting in the stallion’s registration. Versteeg further explained that the stallion had made significant progress in the second part of the test, and Demi van Nispen’s positive observations about the stallion’s agreeable nature were also considered. The committee revisited their earlier decision and approved the stallion. Another stallion, Ravensgoed W (Dyano x Eebert), was also invited for a second chance and successfully registered.

Flowers and photos
After their presentation, each stallion was reviewed individually in the arena by chairman Wim Versteeg. With each announcement, both breeders and registered owners were honored with flowers and a framed photo, presented by general board member Cor Loeffen.

Bays and blacks
The collection includes a black, a black-bay, and three dark bays. The genetic diversity ranges from 5.9% (very low) to 14% (high), with three stallions under 10%. The five stallions are offspring of five different sires, including a Thoroughbred Hackney and a stallion with Friesian bloodlines. Four of the stallions are three-year-olds, and one is six years old. The stallion Relatief earned the highest total score, with three 8s, three 8.5s, and two 9s. Gebr. van Manen from Ede have now been registered as co-owners of this stallion.
