The Dutch dressage horse breeders are once again among the best in the world. Since 2017, they have held the top position in the WBFSH rankings, making this the eighth time the KWPN has reached the highest spot on this studbook ranking. Dutch jumper horse breeders are ranked seventh, while KWPN is placed fourth in the eventing horse rankings.

The WBFSH rankings were calculated for the period from October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2024. Horses can earn points at all international FEI competitions. They are ranked by success, and the results of the top six horses contribute to the WBFSH studbook ranking. All of the top six KWPN dressage horses from the past year are in the top 15.

Dutch blood
The second place goes to Oldenburg, a German studbook that includes horses with Dutch bloodlines, such as Bluetooth OLD (sired by Bordeaux) and Total Hope (sired by Totilas). The same applies to the third-ranked Westphalia, where Vayron (sired by Vitalis) and Bohemian (sired by Bordeaux) both have Dutch sires. Two-time Olympic champion TSF Dalera BB (sired by Easy Game) is individually ranked first, but the Trakehner studbook only reaches nineteenth place. Her breeder, Silke Druckenmüller, was honored with the Dressage Breeder Award for the fourth consecutive year.
