It seems there is no end to the major events; just as the World Championships for Four-in-Hand Driving and the World Championships for Single Driving have concluded, it’s time for the World Championships for Young Driving Horses. In Lamotte Beuvron, France, eleven KWPN participants are competing. Yesterday, all the horses were deemed "fit to compete." Today, the first qualification took place.

Last year, this studbook achieved great success with two medals; Sabrina Melotti drove Melotti Texel (Edmundo out of Violetta H. ster by Lorton, bred by registered breeder Natasja Garritsen-Berkelaar from De Cocksdorp) to a third place. The silver medal went to Wilbrord van den Broek with Love to Dance LL (Danser out of Dancing Jazz vb by Jazz, bred at Landlust Horses in Zoelen). This edition features only one Dutch participant, Saskia Heesch, who has two horses. With the five-year-old Onana (Just Wimphof out of Cariba reg. B by Uptown, bred by the De Groot family from Riel), she delivered a beautiful performance and currently leads with a score of 8.00. With the six-year-old Niek (Idol out of Fenderose star pref by Patijn, bred by J.H. Mittendorff from De Krim), she is currently in eighth place.

Marion Vignaud
In the five-year-olds category, silver medalist of the WC for Single Driving, Marion Vignaud currently shares second place with a score of 7.94, competing with her promising horse Oakley DH (Glock’s Toto Jr. out of Jarisma star by De Niro, bred by De Dinkel Hoeve from Denekamp). With Oh La La La SH (Spielberg out of Kindness reg. A by Donnerbube I, bred by Mrs. Van Eerden from Winterswijk Corle), Marion is currently in sixth place.

Program
In the seven-year-olds category, Weronika Kwiatek took second place with a score of 8.33 with Milo V (Raffles out of Inette vb by Eebert, bred by A.P.C. Veerman from Goudswaard). Tomorrow, the second qualification will take place. The concluding dressage performance is scheduled for Saturday, and on Sunday, the obstacle rounds will begin.
