This afternoon, the second round viewing for seven selected harness horse stallions took place at the Pavo track in Ermelo. Once again, there was considerable public interest in the performances of these stallions, which were presented according to protocol without any competitive elements.

During the first round viewing, ten stallions were invited to participate in this second round viewing. Today, one stallion was absent due to a veterinary statement, and two others were in consultation referred to the next performance test. As a result, the jury, consisting of chairman Wim Versteeg, Thomas van der Weiden, Bauke de Boer, and inspector Viggon van Beest, saw seven horses enter the ring. After each presentation, the trainer/owner was again asked to come to the arena for a brief consultation. The stallions' presentations went smoothly, just like last time, with good sound, and the audience particularly appreciated the coffee (and cookie) stand.

All moving forward to the delivery day
Five three-year-old stallions, one four-year-old, and one six-year-old were presented. All of them will proceed to the delivery day on September 30th in Ermelo, where the 100-meter track will be used again. The event starts at 1:00 PM. Wim Versteeg stated: “During the first round viewing, we as a committee gave feedback on potential areas of improvement for the stallions. The riders have taken these suggestions to heart. In consultation and with the mutual agreement of two trainers, we as a committee decided to refer two stallions to the next performance test. These are young stallions, and we want to give them the time they need.”
