Dettori's daughter Nice Touch W secures 3rd place at the World Championships for 6-year-olds
Swiss rider Charlotta Rogerson rode the striking elite sport-dressage PROK mare Nice Touch W (by Dettori) to a very impressive third place with 88.20% in the World Championship qualification for 6-year-olds, representing Switzerland. Just like last year, Nero (by Ferguson) under Bart Veeze was the best of his year class among the representatives for the Netherlands. With a score of 86.40%, they achieved an admirable sixth place.
The black, hardworking mare Nice Touch W (out of Zsa Zsa Touch W elite sport-dressage PROK by Florencio, bred by H.A. van der Werff from Boskoop) stood out immensely with her active, spacious, and uphill movements. With scores of 8.8 for trot, 8.3 for walk, 9.0 for canter, 8.8 for submission, and 9.2 for perspective, the mare danced under the Swiss rider to third place in the final standings. The 6-year-old qualification was won, just like last year, by the mare Valerie B (by Revolution) under Anne Mette Strandby Hansen for Denmark.
Nero and Nalegro to the final
The best Dutch representative was again Bart Veeze. He guided the large Nero (Ferguson out of Git Odette W, star by Totilas, bred by Titan Wilaras from Riel) to a shared sixth place. The gelding owned by Bruver B.V. and Stal Rom Vermunt showed great development compared to last year and received the highest score for his impressive walk: a 9.4. Charlotte Fry rode the KWPN-approved stallion Nalegro (Painted Black out of Jalegrofleur, star preferent PROK by Negro, breeders J.L. Hanse from Burgh-Haamstede and Van Olst Horses from Den Hout) to twelfth place in the qualification, securing a direct spot in the final. The stallion impressed with his immense power and strong hind leg use.
Other KWPN horses
The KWPN-approved Everest (Especial out of Fresia, star preferent PROK by Negro, bred by Van Olst Horses from Den Hout) narrowly missed the final under Charlotte Fry. With 82.20% and a fifteenth place, they came very close, but two moments of tension with this very diligent stallion slightly affected the submission score. The same goes for Nashville SW (Secret out of Esina, elite preferent IBOP-dressage sport-dressage PROK by Jazz, bred by Stal Willig VOF from Abcoude). This year's Pavo Cup winner had three minor disruptions but otherwise showed great potential under Femke de Laat. No Nonsense D (Glamourdale out of Astrona, star by Olivi, bred by P. Damen from Weelde-Station) struggled with tension under Emmelie Scholtens, as did This Is Naqueen (Trafalgar out of Aqueeni, reg A by Samba Hit, bred by J.G.M. van de Meijden from Zuilichem) under Kim Noordijk, which affected their scores.
