The auction season is in full swing, and today marks the presentation of the third collection from the KWPN Online Foal Auction. This collection includes seven showjumping and 28 dressage foals, open for bidding from Friday, August the 16^th, until Monday, August the 19^th. On the final day, the lots will begin closing from 8:00 PM onwards. Renowned sires, including Olympic stallions Ferro and Glock’s Toto Jr., as well as rising talents like Extreme U.S., One Million, and Kjento, are represented in this auction.

Over the past years, the KWPN Auctions platform has developed into an international showcase where breeders and buyers frequently meet. This is the third foal auction out of a total of seven editions of the KWPN Online Foal Auction, spanning from July to October.

Olympic sires
In 2000, Coby van Baalen was part of the silver medal-winning team at the Sydney Olympics with Ferro. This auction features the promising colt USA (ds.Jameson RS), descended from this renowned black stallion. This year, Glock’s Toto Jr. performed at the Olympics under Hans Peter Minderhoud, and he is represented in this collection by the colt Ubis (ds.Ferdeaux). Both foals hail from damlines that have produced multiple Small Tour horses. Another noteworthy foal is the colt Uzzo O (Ozzy TN x Rousseau), whose dam, Zialita O, previously produced the Swedish-approved stallion Edison O (s.Johnson) and KWPN champion stallion Handsome O (s.Johnson). The filly Unique-Olympic (For Ferrero x Franklin) was bred out of a half-sister to the KWPN-approved stallion Pjethro (s.Kjento).

Showjumping foals
Though dressage foals dominate the collection, there is also plenty to interest showjumping enthusiasts. The Carrera VDL colt Urrera, for example, traces back to the foundational mare Dwermie in the fourth generation, known as the dam of the stallions Mermus R and Odermus R. The filly Urissa (s.Kannan Jr.) was bred out of a 1.40m-jumping mare by Numero Uno and is closely related to the international 1.45m level performer Gentle (s.Numero Uno).
