For the second consecutive year, a talent from the Hendrix family stables has won the KWPN Championship for seven-year-olds. Tim van den Oetelaar achieved his greatest victory with Mont Rose HX.

Last year, Labelle ES (by Mosito van het Hellehof) from Stal Hendrix won the KWPN Championship for seven-year-olds. This year, homebred Mont Rose HX keur sport-spr (Entertainer out of Isabella HX sport-spr by Diamant de Semilly), ridden by Tim van den Oetelaar, outperformed all competition.

"I definitely didn't expect this! Mont Rose HX has an amazing attitude, and we truly fought for this together. I have trained her myself since she was four years old, and this is absolutely one of my greatest victories ever. I also want to express my thanks to the Hendrix family, not only for breeding such a good horse but also for all the support and help I receive from them," said Tim van den Oetelaar. The success of Stal Hendrix was remarkable today. After the victory of Pagani of the Paddocks (by Catoki), this stable also left its mark on the seven-year-old championship. With the win in the Van Santvoort Makelaars Cup, Tim and Mont Rose HX outperformed Pieter Keunen with the competitive Gaspahr daughter Marjorie (out of Marie I by Julio Mariner xx, breeders Marian Sijben-Verlinden and G. Verlinden). The same rider narrowly missed the jump-off with a time penalty with the KWPN-approved stallion A Moonlight Speciale Z (Aganix du Seigneur out of Double-Speciale ster PROK by Chacco-Blue, breeder Jack Verstappen), finishing sixth. This relatively inexperienced stallion jumped all rounds effortlessly and faultlessly.

Stallions
There were more KWPN-approved stallions that performed outstandingly in this championship. Under Marco Sas, the powerful Dominator Z son Defender VDS Z (out of Atureusa S keur sport-spr by Padinus, breeder Daphne van der Schaar) jumped double clear with great ease and attitude. This earned them third place, ahead of Hessel Hoekstra with the very athletic KWPN-approved stallion Stargos VDL (Stakkato Gold out of Estella by Conthargos, breeder W. Winkeler). They made their first fault in the jump-off of this championship, finishing fourth. Just ahead of Juulia Jylas with Magic Touch (Finishing Touch Wareslage out of Ureen-Latano ster sport-dres by Ferro, breeders A.J. Klein and Stal van den Berg), one of three offspring of this KWPN-recognized stallion qualifying for Lanaken.
