Just like in the semi-final, Red Viper was the best five-year-old in the first part of the Pavo Cup final. The Romanov Blue Hors son, ridden by Bart Veeze, scored 89.8 points, including a 9.2 for harmony. This afternoon, the stallion will be ridden again in the second part.

Jens Meyer and Bart Bax judged the horses in today's first final segment for five-year-old horses. The points they awarded will be added to the results from the semi-final. The complete Red Viper (Romanov Blue Hors out of Zolena elite EPTM-dres sport-dres PROK by Sir Sinclair, bred by C. Kerbert from Enschede) once again led the pack. "This horse walks calmly, with a good four-beat and moves well through the body," Bart explained. "The trot is light-footed, with good foreleg use, active hind leg use, and an uphill movement. The canter is also uphill, showing good adjustability."

Oxxi_Lena
Secret's daughter Oxxi_Lena (out of Helena elite sport-dres IBOP-dres PROK by Don Tango B, bred by Myra Dicker-Glaser from Harskamp) also achieved a top score of 89 points under Annemijn Boogaard. "This mare has a very good walk, moving well through the body, although she could be slightly more active in picking up. The trot is light-footed and balanced, showing strong extensions. The canter is expressive and powerful, and the horse was presented beautifully."

Equal Top Three
The third horse qualifying for the second segment of the final is Olivius (Totilas out of Blueberry-Utopia elite sport-dres IBOP-dres PROK by Vivaldi, bred by R. van den Heuvel from Kaatsheuvel). Under Danielle Heijkoop, he maintained his third place from the semi-final. "This horse walks with good body use and rhythm. The trot is balanced with good impulsion and excellent foreleg use. In the canter, the horse shows good body use, flexibility, and jump."

At 2:45 PM, the top three five-year-old horses will return for the second segment of the Pavo Cup final. They will be ridden by Jessica Lynn Thomas.
