The highest score of the day in the Pavo Cup semifinal was awarded to Romanov Blue Hors son Red Viper. Presented by Bart Veeze, this stallion scored an impressive 92.4 points. This total was good for the win in the semifinal for five-year-old horses.

Over 40 five-year-old horses competed today in the Pavo Cup semifinal, judged by Hans Bernoski and Mathie Boomaars. "This was an incredibly enjoyable experience," Hans stated with satisfaction. "We judged very well together and were very much on the same page. We had a large middle group, but also a strong leading group with two horses that really stood out in completeness. Overall, the horses could sometimes have shown a bit more connection."

Ability to Adjust
Red Viper (Romanov Blue Hors out of Zolena elite EPTM-dressage sport-dressage PROK by Sir Sinclair, breeder C. Kerbert from Enschede) received a 9.5 for canter, harmony, and overall impression. This stallion qualified for the semifinals through the World Championship selection. "Bart presented this horse fantastically. Bart had this stallion very well connected, allowing him to optimally showcase the horse's qualities. This horse has a good ability to adjust and showed beautiful transitions. Especially in the canter, we saw good extensions."

Complete Mare
With a small difference, the mare Oxxi_Lena (Secret out of Helena elite sport-dressage IBOP-dressage PROK by Don Tango B, breeder Myra Dicker-Glaser from Harskamp) finished in second place. Under Annemijn Boogaard, she scored 91.6 points. "This mare and the winner really stood out. This is a very impressive mare that was presented in a beautifully harmonious manner. She has a good walk and trots and canters with a lot of power."

Olivius
With 85.4 points, Totilas son Olivius (out of Blueberry-Utopia elite sport-dressage IBOP-dressage PROK by Vivaldi, breeder R. van den Heuvel from Kaatsheuvel) finished third in this semifinal. Danielle Heijkoop presented this half-brother of the stallion Livius. "This is a complete horse that was well presented. He has a lot of ability to adjust and good hind leg use. He has three good gaits but could be developed a bit more generously."

Top Five
Moisés Jover Azuar presented For Final son Ortisei (For Final out of Isis elite sport-dressage D-OC by Chippendale, breeders D. Story from Rhenoy and Dressage Stable Nathalie Smeets from Schalkwijk) in this semifinal. The combination received a 9 for their harmony, scoring 84.8 points, good for fourth place. Escamillo daughter Ohjay (out of Flipflop by Floriscount, breeder family Van der Oord from Schoorl) finished fifth under Marije de Lange. This winner of the pre-selection in Westdorpe is bred from the full sister of the stallion Ferguson.
