VHO Trophy Goes to Lambada Shake AG
Tonight, Aganix du Seigneur's son Lambada Shake AG claimed the final event of Thursday's KWPN Stallion Show. As the last starter in the jump-off, the stallion, ridden by Pieter Keunen, delivered a fast faultless round, securing the VHO Trophy.
For the winning combination of the VHO Trophy, not only the trophy itself was awarded tonight, but also 2500 euros and an Acaris Horse Protector camera system. Seven combinations competed for the title, of which five qualified for the jump-off. There, the new combination of Frank Schuttert and La Costa ES (Mosito van het Hellehof out of Isolde ES elite pref sport-spr PROK by Cumano, breeder Egbert Schep from Tull en 't Waal) already set a fast faultless round, narrowly beaten by Pieter Keunen and Lambada Shake AG (out of Grappa AG sport-spr by Spartacus, breeder Alex Gisbertz from Beek). Ebba Danielsson completed the top three with Je Suis Equus Tame (Qlassic Bois Margot out of Tame Tame by Quaprice Z, breeder S.N.C. Brohier from St Come du Mont).
Attitude
"Fantastic, this is very nice," Pieter exclaimed enthusiastically after the event about the stallion owned by Jan van Meever, Joy Lammers, and HX Breeding. "This is well deserved for Lambada. And honestly, maybe I deserve it myself at this point! I've often performed well, but never won. It's fantastic that it worked out now. Lambada's attitude, temperament, quality, and ability make him unique. I believe he has everything to be a top show jumper. His spirit is what a good sport horse needs.
