Second day results in 22 selected stallions
On the second day of the KWPN Stallion Show, three older and 19 three-year-old jumping stallions received an invitation for the performance test, bringing the total to 50 selected stallions.
After 28 stallions were selected for the performance test yesterday, an additional 19 stallions born in 2021 were added today. Sons of Landino VDL, Mattias, O’Neill van ’t Eigenlo, and United Touch S also earned premiums.
Diverse offering
From the first crop of Mattias, two out of three offered sons were selected. The young stallion Landino VDL (2) and Lay Out (1) also had sons selected. Proven sires Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve and Kasanova de la Pomme each had two sons selected. In addition to the three-year-old stallions, the Dominator Z son Don Tarpania Z, bred by Ab de Lange and co-registered with Stal de Weaver, and A Moonlight Speciale Z (sired by Aganix du Seigneur), bred by Jack Verstappen and co-registered with Stal Hendrix, received invitations for the 21-day performance test. Both stallions have demonstrated their abilities in the stallion competition and have performed well in young horse competitions. Additionally, the 15-year-old Cape Coral RFB Z (sired by Cornet Obolensky, bred by M. Coenen from Roggel) from Stal Hendrix was selected for the five-day character assessment. This stallion has already competed at the international 1.50m level and appears to stand out in breeding, having produced two KWPN-approved sons and several NMK mares, as well as a notable number of international sport horses.
