Under very large public attendance, the first inspection of the harness horse stallions took place today in the Willem Alexander Hall at the KWPN center in Ermelo. Nine three-year-old stallions were selected on this very atmospheric, heavily attended, and smoothly conducted day for the second inspection on February 3rd in 's-Hertogenbosch.

For this inspection, 32 stallions were registered with only one withdrawal. It was also noteworthy that all the registered older stallions were present and gave impressive shows. The new chairman of the stallion inspection committee, Wim Versteeg, and his team Thomas van der Weiden, Bauke de Boer, and harness horse inspector could therefore refer nine three-year-old stallions. Two older stallions still have to complete their first inspection with a driven presentation in Den Bosch, where their possible designation will be decided. Seven stallions were declared ster.

Satisfied
The committee expressed its satisfaction with the selected stallions. Wim Versteeg: "Sometimes a horse on the street appeared very different than in the arena, especially in terms of movement. In that aspect, they improved. We didn't see many incorrect horses. What can still be improved is the uphill movement at the withers. Sometimes, a stallion lacked carrying capacity, and the hind leg came too far behind the mass. But we are satisfied with these nine stallions, all of whom still need to meet the specified veterinary requirements." Regarding the relationship percentage, it ranges from 7.4% to 13.3%.
