With only the reinspection on December 29th remaining, the count for dressage stallions in the second viewing is at 95. Today, 17 stallions received approval, including four sons of Las Vegas.

"As the stallion inspection committee, we always look forward to the first offspring of stallions. It is pleasing to note that we have been able to select one or more complete sons from various young stallions for the next round. These stallions have made a good impression today both in terms of conformation and the three basic gaits," said Bart Bax, chairman of the stallion inspection committee. Like on other days, not every stallion could impress. "We started a bit slowly this morning, but it improved again in the afternoon. From the first day, we have outlined a direction, and we have been able to maintain it every day, resulting in a nice number of 95 stallions. Today, regarding the foundation, things didn't always go smoothly, and we also had to note a few comments about the topline of some stallions. They could be stronger in the topline when standing, and we saw this too often in motion, which hindered their invitation to Den Bosch. Nevertheless, as a committee, we are pleased with the 17 stallions that have received an invitation for the next selection round today; they fit well within the collection of previously selected stallions, and I think we are heading towards Den Bosch with a beautiful group."
