This morning, the stallions were presented to start their 50-day stallion performance test. Thirteen jumper stallions and fourteen dressage stallions got the green light from the Stallion Selection Committees and the veterinary surgeon. 

This morning at 8.00 am, the first stallions appeared in the ring and they all showed good rideablity.  After that, the veterinary surgeon had a good look at them. She only had a remark on the Farfan M-son Jonkheer de Span (ds.Calvin Z). This stallion may be presented again next week after which he can still start the test if the veterinary surgeon gives her consent. “We have been able to start this test with some interesting jumper stallions, so we are looking forward to their progress the coming weeks”, Cor Loeffen, chair of the Stallion Selection Committee jumping, responds. 

The Stallion Selection Committee for dressage stallions accepted all 19 dressage stallions. After the veterinary inspection that followed, five of them were asked to be represented next week. They will have the opportunity to show themselves again and, if the veterinary surgeon can give consent that time, start their test after all. “With this 14 stallions we have a great starting position at the beginning of this test. Some of the stallions are surely very nice and we are looking forward to see how they will do here in Ermelo during the future weeks”, Bert Rutten, chair of the Stallion Selection Committee dressage said afterwards.
