Berlin Son Zirikit Wins CSI2* Grand Prix in Sancourt
Thanks to two good clear rounds riding the Berlin son Zirikit (out of Sirikit s.Lux, breeder: J.H.M. te Molder of Lichtenvoorde), Frederik Cattebeke clinched the Grand Prix last weekend at the CSI2* in Sancourt, France. Formerly ridden by Gerco Schröder, Zirikit has been Cattebeke's mount for a year. Earlier this year, the duo placed second in the Grand Prix of CSI2* Palaiseau. Now in Sancourt, only two of the five jump-off combinations went clear. Among them was Cattebeke with Zirikit, who won the class as the only combination to cross the finish line in less than 45 seconds. In the CSI2* at Predazzo, Italy, riders faced off in a two-round Grand Prix. With one jumping fault in the first round and no faults in the second, Stefanos Papageorgiou rode Vahorn (Matterhorn out of Juchet ster s.Nimmerdor, breeder: W. van Dam of Dalfsen) to fifth place.
