Performance test report

Conformation:
Loretto VDL is an appealing, well-developed, long-lined stallion with a slightly downward body direction. The head is expressive. The neck has good length with a light head-neck connection. The neck has a good shape, good length and sufficient muscling. The shoulder has sufficient length and a sufficient position. The withers are moderately developed and more than sufficient in length. The back is good in length and sufficiently muscled. The loins are long, sufficiently connected and sufficiently muscled. The croup has a good position, sufficient length and more than sufficient muscling. The hamstring should be longer. The foreleg is correctly adjusted when viewed from the side and slightly toed-out when viewed from the front. The hindleg is correctly positioned. The pasterns are good in length and slightly straight. The foundation is well developed and of good quality. The hooves are well developed, good in shape and of good quality. The heels are well developed.

Descendant:
In the blood of Cohinoor VDL, the strong inheritors Cornet Obolensky, Stakkato and Contender come together. Cohinoor VDL does not deny his pedigree and had no less than four convincing sons from his first year of offspring appointed for the performance test. One of them was Lescours, the son of the star mare Gayette. Her well-tested half-sister Hymette (by Berlin) was in 2016 the best of the Keur and elite mares at the National Mare Inspection and was jumping 1.35m. Grandam Violette elite preferent performance sport- (jumping) jumped 1.35m herself and is the first of five (!) performance mares in a row in the pedigree of Lescours. Her first offspring Bastian (by Utopia) became a Grand Prix show jumper with Christian Hess (Ger.), his brother Carmel is 1.40m international. Other descendants of this mare line are the Grand Prix show jumper Sebastian (by Lux Z) with Christian Ahlmann (Ger.), NMK champion, IBOP topper (91.5 points) and 1.60m mare Willemijn (by Numero Uno) elite and sports (jumping) and the approved KWPN stallions Michael, (by Zeus), Jacomar (by G. Ramiro Z) and Ditmar (by Amor).

Performance report:
Loretto VDL is an honest, slightly cheeky and hardworking stallion with a good attitude. The stallion has much to very much willingness to work and is easy to work with. The walk has more than sufficient space and flexibility. The trot is slightly on the forehand and more than sufficient in space. The stallion has a lot of posture and a good balance during movement. The canter is powerful, active and has good space. Loretto VDL jumps well with an upwards withers direction, with good reflexes and more than sufficient to good body use. The stallion jumps with a good and even foreleg technique where the jump is completed more than sufficient to good in the hindlegs. Loretto VDL seems careful and shows a lot of scope. Loretto VDL has a lot of talent for jumping and gives his rider a good feeling.

Stable behaviour:
Honest reliable stallion, easy going and calm in the stable.

The back has sufficient length and good muscling.
The loins are well muscled and well connected.
The croup is straight, short and well-muscled.

The foreleg is slightly toed-in when viewed from the front and correctly positioned when viewed from the side.

The pasterns are good in length and the hind pasterns are slightly weak.
The hooves are equal, well developed and of good quality with low heels.

The walk is regular, good in space and good in flexibility.
The trot has sufficient space with good posture and a good placement of the hindleg under the body.
