Performance test report

Conformation: 
Impressive VDL is a well-developed stallion with good rectangular-shaped conformation. The head is more than sufficiently attractive. The poll has moderate length with a heavy head-neck connection. The neck has good shape, slightly vertical placement, more than sufficient to good length, and good muscling. The wither is well developed and has good length. The shoulder is straight and has more than sufficient length. The back has more than sufficient to good length and is slightly dropped. The loins are sufficiently muscled and connected. The croup is a fraction straight with more than sufficient length and more than sufficient to good muscling. There is more than sufficient length from the point of the hip to the point of the buttock. The front leg is slightly camped-under when viewed from the side and toed-out when viewed from the front. The hind leg is correct. The pasterns have sufficient length with slightly weak conformation. The legs are well developed and of good quality. The hooves are well developed with good shape and quality. The heels are well developed. 

Lineage: 
Impressive VDL's grandsire Darco has held a position in the WBFSH sire ranking for years. His son Douglas, who was retired prematurely from show jumping after sustaining an injury at the 1.50m level, has produced impressive offspring. 
Impressive VDL's dam's sire Contender boasts the genes of foundation sires, including Calypso II, Ramiro and Ladykiller xx; and Contender has lived up to the promise of his bloodlines by producing offspring including numerous good sporthorses and breeding stallions. Impressive VDL’s dam Atendri has produced offspring including a second round viewing stallion and two ster mares. Her dam Iduna, a Corofino daughter, produced several international show jumpers. Iduna is dam to the 1.45m jumper Corrido 4 (s.Contender) and the 1.30m horse Prestigious (s.Con Cento S); and granddam to Jos Lansink's Grand Prix horse For Cento (s.For Pleasure), the international 1.50m jumper Quidman Denfer (s.Quidam de Revel) and the 1.45m jumper Quinta 106 (s.Quidam de Revel). Impressive VDL's great-granddam Evita IV also boasts an impressive record as a broodmare, producing offspring including Cocodrillo (s.Corrado I, 1.60m) and several 1.35m show jumpers; in addition, she is the granddam of the KWPN-recognized stallion and 1.60m jumper Fernando (s.For Pleasure), whom Johnny Pals rode to fourth place last week in the five-star Grand Prix at La Baule. 

Performance Test Report: 
Impressive VDL is an honest, reliable and strong stallion with a good disposition. He is very willing to work and has good to very good trainability. The walk has sufficient to more than sufficient scope. The trot has more than sufficient scope and elasticity. The canter is powerful and has good scope with more than sufficient elasticity. The stallion moves with good body position and balance. Impressive VDL jumps with good reflexes and leg form with sufficient body use but sometimes reaches the pinnacle of his jump behind the obstacle. He appears careful and demonstrates abundant to very abundant scope. Impressive VDL shows abundant to very abundant talent as a jumper and gives his rider a good feeling. 

Stable Behavior: 
Impressive VDL is an honest and reliable stallion. He is easy on the ground and quiet in his stall.

Impressive VDL can add size, form and scope to jumper breeding. 

Dam Report: 
Atendri is a well-developed mare with good rectangular-shaped conformation, nobility and presence. The head is attractive with a nice large eye. 
The poll has sufficient length with a more than sufficiently light head-neck connection. 
The neck has good length and shape. 
The wither is well developed and has good length. 
The shoulder has good length and placement. 
The back is slightly weak. 
The loins are broad with strong muscling. 
The croup has good length and placement.
