Fabuleus showed a very uniform collection of well-developed, harness-type foals with good rectangular-shaped conformation. The head is long but sufficiently attractive in multiple foals. The poll has good shape and length. The neck has good shape and length with good to very good placement and good muscling. The wither is well developed. The shoulder has good length and placement. Several foals have a slightly weak but well-muscled back. The loins have good muscling and are well connected. The croup has good shape but generally should be longer. There is good length from the point of the hip to the point of the buttock. The front leg generally is correct and has good length. Several foals have a straight pastern angle. The hind leg is generally correct. The legs are well developed and of good quality. The hooves have normal shape. The walk has sufficient scope with good elasticity. Front leg use varies in action and scope, but generally should show more reach. The hind leg shows more than sufficient bend and steps under the body more than sufficiently. The foals carry the neck well to very well in the trot, trot with sufficient elevation, and come back more than sufficiently in the front end. The foals are alluring and have good suspension, balance, and ability to collect.Breeding Recommendation
The breeding recommendation is based on the performance test and the foal inspection. Fabuleus produces long-lined and alluring foals with a good front end. He should be bred to mares with a strong front leg, especially with respect to scope. Fabuleus is interesting in terms of blood distribution.
Remarks
The collection consisted of 10 foals selected by the KWPN and 1 foal selected by the stallion's registered party. The foal selected by the stallion's registered party and inspected at its home location is consistent with the findings in this report. The foals were evaluated on grass footing. The quality of the dams was average.
