Performance test report

Conformation

Farfan M is a sufficiently developed stallion with more than sufficient jumper conformation and presence. The head is attractive. The poll has more than sufficient length. The neck has good length but comes out slightly deep from the chest. The wither is more than sufficiently developed and has good length. The shoulder has good length and placement. The back has good length and muscling. The loins have good muscling and are well connected. The croup is sloped and has more than sufficient length. The line from the point of the hip to the point of the buttock should be longer. The front leg is correct. The hind leg is correct. The legs are well-developed and of good quality. The hooves are a fraction wide with slightly low heels.

 

Lineage

Farfan M is a son of the keur stallion Cantos.

 

Farfan M's dam is the ster prestatie mare Nikita (s.Lux), who competed in the National Mare Inspection. She produced several sporthorses, including an international show jumper by Calvados, a 1.30m-level jumper by Toulon, and a Z2-level dressage horse by Mr. Blue. Farfan M's granddam Juweel is a ster preferent prestatie mare by Nimmerdor. Her offspring include the Grand Prix jumper Socrates (s.Calvados) and an international show jumper by Calvados. Farfan M's great-granddam Passe (keur preferent prestatie s.Erdball xx) is the granddam of the Grand Prix jumper and KWPN-approved stallion Lancelot (s.Voltaire) and the Grand Prix horse Rochester (s.Calvin Z). Passe's immediate offspring include two international show jumpers and two 1.30m-level jumpers, all by Nimmerdor. The dam-line continues with daughters of Avenir and Jurist.

 

Inspection Report

Farfan M is an honest and sensitive stallion with a good temperament. He is very willing to work and has more than sufficient trainability. He has a sensitive mouth. The walk is clear and has more than sufficient scope. The trot is active with more than sufficient scope. The canter is powerful with sufficient scope. The stallion moves with good carriage and balance. Farfan M jumps with good to very good reflexes, good front leg form, and good use of his back. He completes his jump inconsistently with his hind end. Farfan M appears careful and shows athletic ability. He demonstrates more than sufficient to abundant talent as a jumper and gives his rider a more than sufficient to good feeling.

 

Stable Behavior

Farfan M is an honest and reliable stallion. He is easy on the ground and quiet in his stall. 

 

Veterinary Report

Due to mild clinical symptoms, blood- and fecal tests were ordered for the stallion, and his teeth were checked. The tests and exam revealed no abnormalities.

Breeding Recommendation

Farfan M can add "blood" and nobility to jumper breeding. In addition, he can improve the basic gaits and reflexes. The stallion is best paired with tall, full-bodied mares.

Nikita is a sufficiently developed mare with good rectangular-shaped conformation and "bloodhorse" presence.

The head is attractive.

The head-neck connection is light.

The neck has good length and slightly vertical placement.

The croup has good placement but needs more length.

The front leg is slightly back at the knee, and the right front leg toes out.

The walk is active with more than sufficient scope.

The trot shows an active hind leg, elasticity, and good scope.

The canter has more than sufficient scope, good push, and good elasticity.

The back has sufficient length and muscling but is dropped in multiple foals. The croup is sloped, but the line from the point of the hip to the point of the buttock should be longer. The legs are correct and solid. The walk has more than sufficient scope. The trot has sufficient scope. The canter is light-footed with sufficient scope but needs to show more elasticity.
