With respect to type and development, Fantijn showed a uniform collection of more than sufficiently developed harness-type foals with nobility and generally good rectangular-shaped conformation. The front leg has good scope but generally needs to show more action. The hind leg shows more than sufficient bend but should generally step more powerfully under the body. The foals carry the neck well to very well in the trot. The foals should climb more in the trot.

With respect to type and development, Fantijn showed a uniform collection of more than sufficiently developed harness-type foals with nobility and generally good rectangular-shaped conformation. The head is nicely shaped and attractive.The poll is good with respect to shape and length.The neck has good shape and length, good to very good carriage, appropriate muscling, but comes out deep from the chest in multiple instances. The wither is well developed. The shoulder has good placement but generally needs more length. The back is regularly slightly dropped but has good muscling. The loins are well muscled. The croup has good shape but generally should be longer. There is sufficient length from the point of the hip to the point of the buttock. The front leg is correct and has good length. The pastern angle is generally weak. The hind leg is generally correct. The legs are solid and tight, but slightly fine-boned in a number of cases. The hooves have normal shape. The walk has sufficient scope but should show more power. The front leg has good scope but generally should have more action. The hind leg shows more than sufficient bend but should generally step more powerfully under the body. The foals carry the neck well to very well in the trot and come back more than sufficiently in the front end. The foals should climb more in the trot. The suspension is good. The foals should show more collection.
Breeding Recommendation
The breeding recommendation is based on the performance test and the foal inspection. Fantijn produces noble foals with presence. Mares bred to Fantijn should have front leg action and a strong hind leg.
Remarks
The collection consisted of 10 foals invited by the KWPN and 1 foal selected by the stallion's registered party.
One foal invited by the KWPN was injured. This foal was evaluated standing and is consistent with the findings in this report with respect to conformation. The foal selected by the stallion's registered party is consistent with the findings in this report but showed more movement.
The foals were evaluated on grass footing.
The quality of the dams was good.
