ConformationEver Blue is a sufficiently developed stallion with more than sufficient jumper conformation and a slightly downhill body direction. The head is sufficiently attractive. The poll has more than sufficient length. The neck has good length but comes out deep from the chest. The wither is sufficiently developed and has more than sufficient length. The shoulder has sufficient length and placement. The back has good length and more than sufficient muscling. The hindquarters are well-connected with more than sufficient muscling. The croup is lightly sloped with more than sufficient length and muscling. The line from the point of the hip to the point of the buttock should be longer. The front legs are correct but slightly camped under. The hind legs are correct. The legs are well-developed and of more than sufficient quality. The hooves are broad with low heels.
Lineage
Ever Blue's sire, Zirocco Blue VDL, is currently competing in international show jumping under Jur Vrieling. Ever Blue's dam is the elite mare Thissonnevank (s.Indorado), a product of Cees Hoogendoorn's renowned Sonnevanck-line. The mare also produced a Z-level jumper by Pierrot. Ever Blue's granddam Grandsonnevanck (s.Renville), who earned the preferent and prestatie predicates, is the dam of the international jumper Kenz (s.Hamlet). She also produced Z- and ZZ-level horses by Fruhling and Celano. Ever Blue's great-granddam Resonnevanck is a ster daughter of the English Thoroughbred Le Faquin xx. She is also the granddam of a Z-level jumper by Farn and the granddam of Jack Neefs' Grand Prix jumper, Barok (s.Sultan). The dam-line continues with the kroon preferent Wachtmeester daughter Eensonnevanck and the preferent kroon mare Sonnevanck (s.Jupiter).

Ever Blue is an honest and reliable stallion. His attitude is more than sufficient, but he gets tense easily. The stallion is more than sufficiently willing to work. He has more than sufficient to good trainability but a slightly tough mouth. The walk has more than sufficient stride length but little regularity. The trot has sufficient to more than sufficient stride length. The canter is powerful and has more than sufficient stride length but should be more balanced. The stallion moves with more than sufficient carriage. Ever Blue jumps with good reflexes. He clears jumps well with his body but varies in his front leg form. The stallion completes his jumps very well with his hind end. Ever Blue appears careful and shows abundant scope. He demonstrates abundant talent as a jumper and gives his rider a good feeling.
