Inspection Report Ermelo 2007 (28-03 until 23-05)
Zirocco Blue-VDL is an honest, reliable stallion with a good character. The stallion shows more than sufficient willingness to work and is sufficiently trainable. The walk is mediocre in scope and should be more tactful. The trot has mediocre scope and sufficient power. The canter has good scope and power. In motion, the stallion has little elasticity. The stallion jumps with good reflexes and good technique. Zirocco Blue-VDL appears cautious and shows a lot of power. Zirocco Blue-VDL has a lot of talent as a jumping horse and gives his rider a more than sufficient to good feeling.
Stable Behavior
Honest and reliable stallion. He is easy on the ground and quiet in his stall.
Veterinary Report
On 25-04 the stallion showed lameness in the left hind leg. The lower foot was sensitive. After a few days of targeted exercise the lameness resolved. The stallion also stepped on the outside of the heel of his left foreleg.
Semen Inspection
Expected fertility class: good.
Breeding Recommendation 2007
Zirocco Blue VDL can improve jumping horse breeding with power and reflexes, and should preferably be used with very rideable mares that have a good mouth.
