Conformation
Biscayo is a well-developed stallion with more than sufficient jumper conformation and a downhill body direction. The head is sufficiently attractive. The poll is short. The neck has sufficient length but comes out deep from the chest. The wither is well developed with a moderate connection to the neck. The shoulder has sufficient length and placement. The back has good length and muscling. The loins should be better connected. The croup is sloped and short. The front leg has more than sufficient length but is camped-under. The hind leg is correct. The legs are well developed and of more than sufficient quality. The hooves have good shape and are well developed.
Lineage
Biscayo's sire Contendro I is by the influential stallion Contender, out of the successful mare Bravo (s.Reichsgraf). She also produced Contendro I's full brother Contendro II; Caretano Z (s.Caretino), a successful sport- and breeding stallion; and Cassito (s.Cassiano), who was deemed a premium stallion in Holstein in 2008. Contendro I is particularly influential in Germany, where his offspring are excelling as evidenced by his index of 155 (95% reliability). Biscayo's dam is Sinessa, a studbook daughter of Lux. Biscayo's granddam Notre Dame (Cassini I x Quidam de Revel) is a grand prix show jumper under Roberto Arioldi and the dam of the KWPN stallion Vingino (s.Voltaire). The dam-line also includes daughters of Landgraf I, Calypso I, and Rigoletto.

Biscayo is an honest, reliable but somewhat phlegmatic stallion. He is more than sufficiently willing to work, with more than sufficient trainability and a good mouth. The walk has moderate scope but little rhythm. The trot has sufficient scope but little power. The canter is powerful with good scope. Biscayo has more than sufficient reflexes and good form. He appears sufficiently careful and shows abundant scope. Biscayo demonstrates abundant talent as a jumper and gives his rider a more than sufficient to good feeling.
Stable Behavior
Biscayo is an honest and reliable stallion. He is easy on the ground and quiet in his stall.

The trot has sufficient scope and elasticity. The canter has scope but moderate elasticity and shoulder freedom.
