Conformation
Briljant is a well-developed stallion with good rectangular-shaped conformation and a slightly downhill body direction. The head is not very attractive. The poll has more than sufficient length. The neck has good shape, length, and muscling but comes out slightly deep from the chest. The shoulder has more than sufficient length and placement. The wither is more than sufficiently developed and long. The back has good length but is slightly dropped. The loins are more than sufficiently developed and connected. The croup is sloped and has good length and muscling. The front leg is short and back at the knee. The hind leg is correct. The legs are more than sufficiently developed and of more than sufficient quality. The hooves are well developed.
Lineage
Briljant's sire Uphill is currently experiencing a very successful season as both a breeding stallion and a small tour dressage competitor under Emmelie Scholtens. Briljant's dam Ruzelma is by Darlington. As a Damenstolz son, Darlington is a product of the excellent Dodona-line, which has produced exceptional horses including Amon, Ahlerich, Rembrandt, and Rubinstein. Briljant's granddam Liezelma is a ster mare by Havidoff out of the keur mare Hiezelma by Cabochon. The dam-line continues with ster preferent prestatie mares by Vanitas and Ormand.
Inspection Report
Briljant is an honest and reliable stallion with a good temperament. He is more than sufficiently willing to work and has good trainability. The walk is pure and has very good scope. The trot has more than sufficient scope and good use of the hind leg. The stallion sometimes bumps himself with his front shoes; however this issue improved greatly during the test. The canter is powerful, with good scope and carriage. Briljant moves with more than sufficient body position and balance. He has abundant talent for dressage and gives his rider a good feeling.
Stable Behavior
Briljant is an honest and reliable stallion. He is easy on the ground and quiet in his stall.

The neck is long and well muscled; it comes deep out of the chest and is carried well. The wither is more than sufficiently developed but should be longer. The shoulder is long and has sufficient placement. The back has good length, shape, and muscling. The loins are strong and well connected, with strong muscling. The croup has good length, shape, and muscling. The tail is set slightly high. The front leg is slightly narrow and should be longer. The front legs toe out slightly. The pastern angle is normal. The hind leg is correct. The hooves are well developed. The legs are well developed and of good quality. The walk is pure and active with good scope. The trot has sufficient scope and elasticity, with good hind leg use. The canter has sufficient scope and push. The mare moves with sufficient body position and an expressive forehand.
