Performance test report
Conformation description 2005(14-03 t/m 24-05)Sufficiently developed, riding type stallion that stands in sufficient rectangular model. The head is expressive. The neck comes a little deep from the chest. The topline is nicely connected. The stance of the fore- and hindleg is correct. The base could be a little more developed.
Pedigree information
Vivaldo is steeped in dressage blood on both the dam and the sire"s side. Polansky is a son of the Trakehner Kostolany, was a keuring champion himself and is also known in Holland as the sire of the keur stallion Gribaldi. In the dam line of Polansky we see the dressage sires Donnerhall and Roemer.
Vivaldo"s dam Reveil is a star daughter of Montecristo and the preferent mare Heidebloem (s Clavecimbel). Further back in the dam line we come to the keur preferent prestatie mare Angenieta (s G Ramiro-Z) who is also the dam of Mon Ami (s Jasper), international jumper and derby specialist ridden by Wout Jan van der Schans. Even further back are star preferent mares by Le Mexico and Cartoonist xx.
Performance
Vivaldo is an honest and dependable stallion. He has much willingness to work and he works well.
The walk is pure and has good scope and suppleness. The trot has tact and is carried. The use of the hindleg is good. The use of the foreleg is flat. Vivaldo should move more uphill in the trot. The canter has good scope and suppleness, has impulsion and is carried. Vivaldo has much talent for dressage and gives his rider a good feeling.
Vivaldo jumps with a moderate take-off. The foreleg folds sufficiently. The stallion has a moderate bascule. The hindquarter opens sufficiently. He seems to be careful and shows sufficient scope. Vivaldo has little talent for jumping and gives his rider a moderate feeling.
The stallion behaves calm in his stall and he is easy to handle
Veterinary remarks: Because of chronic bronchial problems the stallion coughed from time to time. He was medicated for the affliction.
Vivaldo appears to fit mares that lack suppleness and spring during movement. Mares do have to be richly developed with sufficient front and a light lift in the foreleg.
