Conformation Description 1996When stood up, Lincoln is a somewhat simply built stallion. He does stand in the rectangular shape. The neck is a little short and horizontal, the loins are tense, and the croup has good length and build. The angle in the hind leg is a little small.
Performance
Lincoln is an honest, reliable stallion. He is very willing to work. The basic gaits have enough scope but are a little on the forehand. In dressage the stallion works well, but stays on the forehand too much. He has moderate talent for dressage and gives his rider a moderate feeling. In jumping the stallion goes sufficiently. He is quick off the ground and is careful. He holds himself back a little behind and could finish the jump better. He seems to have more than sufficient talent for jumping and gives his rider a good feeling.
Stall behavior is normal.

Offspring 1998Uniform collection of well-developed foals in more than sufficient rectangular model. The head should sometimes be more expressive. The poll should be longer. The neck has more than sufficient length. The neck should be more vertical. The neck comes a little deep from the chest and should have more rounding and muscling in the topline. The wither is sufficiently developed. The shoulder is remarkably long, the placement is more than sufficient. The back/loin formation is well formed. The loins are wide and the topline is very well muscled. Length, form and muscling of the croup are more than sufficient. The hamstring should be longer at times. The foreleg has good length, sometimes it is a little fine but the knee is generally well developed. The hindleg is sickle-hocked and the hock should be finished better.
The walk has more than sufficient suppleness and sufficient scope. The foals trot with more than sufficient push from behind and suppleness. The knee bends well in the trot, but the foreleg should move out with more scope. The hindleg should carry more. The canter has good push and more than sufficient suppleness. The foals canter a little on the forehand. One foal that was inspected at home fit in with the rest of the picture in regards to conformation and movement but has a broken foot axis on both forelegs and a deviating hoof form. The quality of the mares was generally good.
