Accepted KWPN 2005 (06-06)
Two times a year the KWPN stallion committee evaluates which internationally known stallions will be considered for the status of individually erkende stallion. In order to be considered for this a stallion must expressly have proven himself at the highest levels of international sport, either with their own performance or with that of their offspring, or a combination of the two. Individually erkende stallions to not expressly have to meet the KWPN requirements in regards to wellbeing (radiographs and endoscopy). Offspring of erkende stallions will be registered in the Foalbook.
Don Schufro ended his test in Adelheidsdorf on a high note with the exceptionally high dressage shores of 154.93 points. Meanwhile the stallion is now successful at Grand Prix level with the Danish rider Andreas Helgstrand. He was 2nd during the Danish championships and qualified for the Athens Olympics. In Germany Don Schufro is at the head of the stallion dressage index for the fourth year in a row with an index of 178 with 89% reliability. He has been approved in Oldenburg and the DVA and erkend in Hanover and for the NEW. Don Schufro has not complied with the veterinary requirements according to KWPN protocol. According to a statement from the Danish Warmblood studbook Don Schufro is free of osteochondrose in the hock and stifle. The stallion committee has accepted this statement. It is not known to what degree the Danish criteria differ from the KWPN criteria.
