Performance test report
The 20-year-old stallion De Niro leads the WBFSH sire ranking, followed by the preferent KWPN stallions Jazz and Gribaldi. Bred by Brigitte Pahl, the Donnerhall son has greatly influenced international dressage, excelling both as a grand prix competitor and a breeding stallion.De Niro is out of the Hanoverian mare Alicante, an Akzent II daughter out of Wiesenelfe by Wiesenbaum xx. Currently, the De Niro son Desperados (ds.Wolkenstein II), ridden by Kristina Sprehe, is one of the sire's most successful offspring; and the approved De Niro sons Dancier (ds.Lancier) and Danone (ds.Weltmeyer) show great promise as breeding stallions. In addition, Deveraux (ds.Rohdiamant), another De Niro son, won the championship at the FEI World Breeding Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden. The height of the black stallion De Niro is 1.69 m / 16.2+ hands. He meets KWPN radiographic requirements.
Conformation

De Niro is a handsome, well-developed stallion with good rectangular-shaped conformation. He looks good for his age. The head is attractive with a nice eye. The poll has good length, and the head-neck connection is more than sufficiently light. The front end is good. The neck has good length, shape, and muscling. The wither is well developed and sufficiently long. The shoulder has good length and placement. The wither/back connection is good. The back is slightly weak but has good length and muscling. The loins are very well muscled. The croup is slightly straight but has good length and muscling. The front legs are camped under when viewed from the side but correct when viewed from the front. The hind leg is correct. The pastern angle is normal. The hooves are well shaped, similar, and of good quality. The legs are well developed, clean, and tight. The walk is active with good scope. The trot is active and uphill. De Niro has abundant elasticity and more than sufficient scope in the trot, with good bend in his joints.
