Offspring (complete collection), 1971:
Yearlings were noted for their common appearance and lack of quality. Several have a somewhat longer gaskin and slightly high-set neck, which insiders consider desirable for a jumper. Comments on minor areas: The jaw is sometimes coarse, the neck is a bit wide, and the poll is slightly short. The legs could be more elegant but appear better in motion. Good breadth, depth, and weight. Appropriate in a region where a lot of Thoroughbreds are used.
Keur predicate awarded (posthumously), September 25, 1991:
Goudsmid was awarded the keur predicate posthumously. This predicate was awarded because the stallion made a significant contribution to the collection of Gelder horses. In both the dam-line and the sire-line (the approved stallion Zep), Goudsmid is considered a stallion which has put a clear stamp on Gelder horse breeding.
