Performance test report

Conformation: 
Idol is a long-lined stallion with good rectangular-shaped conformation. The head is slightly coarse. The head-neck connection should be more refined. The neck is long, with good muscling and carriage. The wither is well developed and long. The shoulder has sufficient slope and good length. The back has good placement and muscling. The loins are sufficiently muscled. The croup has good length and placement. The front leg is slightly back at the knee but correct. The hind leg is slightly sickle-hocked. The pastern angle is correct. The hooves are sufficiently developed with sufficient heels. The legs are sufficiently solid. 

Lineage: 
The gray stallion Idol boasts the unparalleled preferent breeding stallion Manno as his sire. Idol’s dam Boukje competed successfully in the sport. To date, she has produced five offspring, among them Idol's full-brother Hendrik, who was selected for the performance test. Boukje’s sire Plain’s Liberator, a multiple champion in harness, received the keur predicate from his mother studbook, the Hackney Studbook. Boukje's granddam, who is also named Boukje, is the foundation mare of numerous successful sporthorses. Her Waterman son Adrastos earned 191 points, and her Ganges son also earned points. Boukje is also the granddam of several sporthorses, among them the National Mare Inspection champion Charlotte (s.Waldemar). 
Idol's great-grandsire Fortissimo won the stallion competition as a three-year-old and achieved success in the championship for breeding stallions. Hudson (s.Crescendo HBC), who was also selected for the performance test, is out of the same dam-line as Idol. 

Performance Test Report: 
Idol is an honest and reliable stallion that sometimes could show more effort. 
He is sufficiently willing to work and more than sufficient to drive. 
The trot has sufficient scope and power. 
Pulling the show carriage, the stallion demonstrates good neck carriage and body use. Idol has abundant knee action and good to very good reach in the front leg. 
The hind leg shows more than sufficient bend and steps under the body more than sufficiently. The trot has more than sufficient to abundant suspension. Idol has more than sufficient to abundant desire to move. He shows more than sufficient to abundant talent as a harness horse and gives his driver a more than sufficient feeling. The stallion performed inconsistently in the performance test. 

Stable Behavior: 
Idol is an honest and reliable stallion. He is easy on the ground and quiet in his stall.

Idol can improve size, front leg use and harness-type conformation in harness horse breeding.

Boukje is a sufficiently developed, slightly short-coupled mare that could have longer legs. The head is attractive. The poll has more than sufficient definition. The neck has sufficient length. The wither is sufficiently developed but could be longer. The shoulder has sufficient length and placement. The back should have better muscling. The loins are well muscled. The croup is slightly short. The front leg should be longer. The hind leg is correct. The pastern angle is straight, and the pasterns should be longer. The hooves are well developed and have good shape. The legs are solid. The walk has sufficient scope. Boukje shows sufficient action in the trot and carries the neck well.
