Performance test report
The KWPN has granted the Baloubet du Rouet son Chaman recognized status for breeding. Since 2010, the 13-year-old bay stallion has been very successful in the show ring under Ludger Beerbaum. Previously, Chaman competed internationally under Andreas Knippling and Luciana Diniz. Bred by Boa Agriculture BV of Enschede, Chaman is out of Jadied, a daughter of I Love You (s.Almé). In the 1980's, American Norman Dello Joio competed I Love You at the Grand Prix level. The combination captured the World Cup in 1983 in Vienna and placed second the following year in Göteborg. In addition, they won the Grand Prix in Calgary and the Grand Prix in Toronto, where they were also part of the winning team in the Nations Cup. Chaman's granddam Poline, a ster preferent mare by Lucky Boy xx, is also the granddam of the KWPN-recognized stallion Luidam. Several weeks ago, the Beerbaum/Chaman combination placed third in the World Cup competition in Stuttgart, second in Hannover, fourth in the Global Champions Tour in Vienna, and first in the Preis von Nordrhein-Westfalen in Aachen. Other achievements this year include finishing second in the Nations Cup in Rome and winning the Grand Prix in Paris.
Conformation Description
Chaman, who was presented in sport condition, is a well-developed stallion with good rectangular-shaped conformation. The body direction is downhill. The head is attractive but slightly long, with a beautiful eye. The poll has good length with a light head-neck connection. The neck has good length and somewhat vertical placement with the tendency toward an underneck. The topline should have more muscling. The wither is well developed with sufficient length. The shoulder has good length and placement. The back falls slightly away behind the wither but shows good length and muscling. The loins are well connected and have good muscling. The croup has good placement and more than sufficient length and muscling. The front leg is slightly camped-under when viewed from the side and a fraction toed-out when viewed from the front. The hind leg is long and sickle-hocked. The transition from the hock to the cannon bone is rather sharp. The pasterns are long and slightly weak. The hooves are good but have low heels. The legs are well developed and of good quality. The walk is pure with good scope and sufficient power. The trot has sufficient scope and power.
Chaman measures 1.72m / 16.3+ hands and meets KWPN radiographic criteria.
