Conformation description 2003 (02-04 t/m 21-05)
Talos is a sufficiently developed, very tuig type stallion that stands in more than sufficient rectangular model. The neck has good length and has very good position. The midsection is a little weak. The foreleg should be longer.

Pedigree information
Talos comes from a mare line that is related to the stallion Reflex-M (s Larix). His dam is the keur mare Jeldine (s Wilhelmus) who has competed in harness several times and who completed the old IBOP with 96 points. She has produced 4 offspring (2 colts and 2 fillies) of which one is a 2nd viewing stallion.
Grandmother Faldine ster preferent (s Waarborg) produced the MNN-competition winner Magistraat (s Harald) among others.
We know great grandmother Veldine keur preferent as the dam of competition horses Boris (s Cambridge Cole) and Dorman (s Wilhelmus), both have modest winnings. Veldine is also the grandmother of Superieur (s Manno). This stallion, that was selected for the performance test but did not go because of the quality of his semen, recently made his debut in sport.

Performance
Talos is an honest, reliable stallion. He has very much willingness to work and he drives well.
The walk is active and has good scope. The stallion has much self-carriage in front of the show cart. He has good neck position and comes back well in the front. Talos has much knee action in the foreleg and moves it out well. The use of the hindleg is very good. The stallion brings the hindleg under the body well and has much bend and impulsion. He also has much suspension and he really likes to go. Talos has much to very much talent for harness work and gives his driver a very good feeling.
The stallion reacts strongly to the crowd.
The stallion"s behavior in his stall and while being handled is normal.

Talos showed a uniform collection for vary tuig type foals that vary in development and that should be more rectangular, but that have much charm.
The head is expressive. The poll has good length and shape. The neck has good length, is carried well and is very well muscled. The wither has sufficient length and development. The shoulder has good length and position. The back is generally slightly hollowed. The loins are shaped and muscled well. The croup is very well muscled and has good position a generally high tail set. The hamstring has more than sufficient length. The stance of the foreleg is correct but should frequently be longer. The stance of the hindleg is correct. The base is well developed and shows quality. The hooves are normal.
The walk has scope and is powerful. The trot has scope and suspension. The use of the foreleg ranges from sufficient to good. Some foals should show a little more action. The hindleg is powerful, has good flexion and is brought underneath well. The foals trot with very much suppleness and much balance, they can do changes well and show much self carriage and elevation.

In short: A uniform collection of very tuig type foals that should be a little more rectangular, that vary in development but that have a lot of charm. The foals trot with very much suppleness, much balance while showing much self carriage and elevation. The trot is powerful with good flexion in the hind leg.

The quality of the mares was good on average.
