Conformation
Ampere is a well-developed stallion with good dressage horse conformation. The head is attractive. The neck has good length, shape, and muscling but comes out slightly deep from the chest. The shoulder has good length and placement. The wither is well developed and has good length. The back has sufficient length and good muscling. The loins are well connected. The croup is sloped and has more than sufficient length with good muscling. The front legs are sufficiently long but toed-in. The hind leg is correct. The legs are well developed and of more than sufficient quality. The hooves are well developed with low heels.

Lineage
Ampere's sire Rousseau finished high in the final standings of the 2002 Pavo Cup competition and then captured the silver medal at the 2003 FEI World Breeding Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden. Ampere is Rousseau's third consecutive son to win the stallion selection championship in 's-Hertogenbosch. Ampere's dam Larivola is a keur daughter of the preferent sire Flemmingh. She produced 7 offspring (4 colts and 3 fillies), among them 1 ster and 1 second round viewing. Ampere's granddam is the ster preferent mare Farivola, whose offspring include the Z2-level dressage horse Nivola (s.Farrington). The dam-line continues with the ster mare Arivola (s.Farn). She is the dam of the national show jumper Jannus (s.Gervantus) and the Z1-level dressage horse L (s.Goldstern). Other horses in the dam-line include a keur preferent daughter of Rigoletto and a keur preferent mare by Amor.

Ampère is an honest, reliable, and sensitive stallion with a very good temperament. He is very willing to work and has good trainability. The walk is pure and has good scope. The trot has good scope and carriage. The canter is powerful, uphill, and has very good scope. Ampère moves with abundant natural balance and elasticity, and his hind leg steps under his body very well. He has good body position. Ampère has very abundant talent for dressage and gives his rider a very good feeling.

Stable Behavior
Ampère is an honest and reliable stallion. He is easy on the ground and quiet in his stall.
