The KWPN has established the 'Friends of the KWPN' business club, where participants come into contact with each other and support the KWPN breeding through breeder premiums. A deposit of €2,500 (excl. VAT) yearly is requested, of which at least 50% is spent on breeder premiums. Various large and medium-sized companies are represented in the supporters of the KWPN and a number of members have asked the KWPN to realize a business network. Currently, the business club has approximately 30 members and the aim is to grow this to 100 in the coming years. Through the 'Friends of the KWPN', we offer various members a network within which they have the opportunity to get in touch with colleagues with different backgrounds but the same interest in equestrian sport and breeding. The members of the business club meet in an informal atmosphere, make new contacts and do business with each other. Throughout the year, four activities are organized for the 'Friends of the KWPN', such as a visit to an international equestrian event, company visits and (network)dinners. The first meeting in the calendar year is organized at the largest stallion selection in Europe: the well-attended KWPN Stallion Show at the Brabanthallen in 's-Hertogenbosch. Here the ‘Friends of the KWPN’ have their own Skybox.
At the KWPN Stallion Show as well as the KWPN Championships, the Friends of the KWPN award breeder premiums. At the KWPN Stallion show the premium stallions, winners of the Anemone Stallion Competition dressage and the Blom Stallion Competition jumping, champion and reserve champion of the harness horse stallions and the winner of the Oregon Troffee are eligible for a breeder premium, provided the horses are KWPN-bred. After all, the friends of the KWPN stand for the KWPN breeders. At the KWPN Championships, the breeders of the winners of the Pavo Cup, the Blom Cup and the champions at the National Mare Inspection are rewarded with a breeder's premium.
The KWPN (Studbook of the Royal Dutch Sport Horse) is a Netherlands-based organization specializing in the breeding of jumpers, dressage horses, harness horses, and Gelder horses.
