Nine groups of jumper stallions were evaluated today on the first day of the KWPN Stallion Show, resulting in 16 selected stallions, including Celtic VDL, who was invited to the championship inspection.

Due to several withdrawals, the selection on this first day was not particularly large. However, a number of genetically interesting stallions with strong performances were chosen for the performance test.

Three by Emerald
VDL Stud performed well, with four out of five presented stallions receiving approval from the stallion committee, including Celtic VDL (Chatinue out of Sixtine de Vains by Calvaro Z), who was invited to the championship inspection. Leading sire Emerald van ’t Ruytershof was well represented in the second round viewing, with three of his sons selected for the performance test. Additionally, two stallions from Emerald’s direct dam line, sired by Untouched and Defender VDS Z, were also selected for the performance test. Show jumping breeder of the year 2021, Roelof Bril, saw his own breeding product, the promisingly bred Secret Garden, selected. This stallion is a son of Cero Blue TN, who was registered last year with high scores.

Tomorrow at 8:00 AM, the stallion selection for show jumping will continue with three more groups. In the afternoon, the championship inspection is scheduled. Everything can be followed via the livestream on KWPN.TV.
