On the second day of the first round viewing powered by AJ Bedrijfsdiensten for jumper stallions, the stallion selection committee has extended invitations to 27 stallions for the KWPN Stallion Show.

The selection committee, consisting of chairman Wout-Jan van der Schans, Eric van der Vleuten, and Bart Henstra, evaluated 51 jumping stallions today, descendants of both proven and younger sires.

Diversity
Multiple sons were selected from Aganix du Seigneur (2), Cavalier Russe Z (2), Emerald van ’t Ruytershof (2), Ermitage Kalone (2), Kassander van ’t Roosakker (2), and Mattias (2). “The stallion selection committee evaluated a very diverse group of stallions. There was already a great deal of variety in the models on the street, which we also observed in the jumping,” says senior inspector Henk Dirksen on behalf of the committee. “We were certainly able to identify a number of complete stallions for the second round viewing, as well as stallions whose model and pedigree were convincing enough to compensate for a slightly lesser performance today. These stallions are getting a second chance in Den Bosch, and we hope they will make the most of it. Just like yesterday, the stallions generally presented themselves well for evaluation.” After two days, the total now stands at 50 jumper stallions, including the two older stallions. “Tomorrow, the sons of primarily younger sires will take the stage, so hopefully it will be another productive day.”

You can view all the selected stallions via the first round viewing overview page.
